3D simulation software provider FORUM8 is upgrading its 3D VR Simulation and Modeling software to support AUTOSAR (Automotive Open System Architecture).
The VR Design Studio software simulates the real world in highly accurate interactive 3D virtual reality and provides support to auto makers’ common software for electronic control units.
This will assist manufacturers to enhance R&D programs through integrating 3D VR simulation with autonomous driving and ADAS technologies.
AUTOSAR was developed by the industry’s global partnership established in 2003, consisting of 53 premium partners, 38 development partners and 127 associate partners.
Its main purpose is to speed up control software development for the next generation of autonomous vehicles by standardizing hardware and basic software.
FORUM8’s VR Design Studio software is used by hundreds of research organizations, urban planners, transport authorities and vehicle manufacturers to create immersive, realistic models.
It is designed to test a range of driver training, road safety, ADAS, V2V, V2I and autonomous driving R&D applications.
