In January, Inova Semiconductors relocated to a new headquarters in Munich, Germany. The new office offers more than twice the space, supporting the company’s plans for international growth and the development of new technologies.
The move is part of a five-year strategy focused on expanding operations, especially in Asia and North America. Inova also plans to grow its workforce to around 100 full-time employees in the coming years. The larger space will accommodate increasing demands and future growth.
Robert Isele, the company’s CEO, explained, “By moving to our new site, we are making a statement about the future development of the company. The location not only provides more space for our team but is also the ideal basis for further expanding our international partnerships and continuing our success story as an innovative German semiconductor company.”
Meanwhile, development of Inova Semiconductors‘ third product line, APXpress, is moving forward on schedule. This technology, set to deliver production-ready semiconductors by 2028/29, will support communication between in-car sensors, zonal gateways and high-performance computing systems. It enables high-performance, redundant SerDes communication with bandwidths of 32Gbps, allowing different bus systems to be combined, and simplifying data transportation within vehicles.
Said Isele, “Inova is driving the fundamental communication of the software-defined vehicle, providing vehicle manufacturers with a solution to meet the complex data transport and security requirements of the connected vehicle era with minimal software, minimal packaging and maximum flexibility.”
Inova Semiconductors is developing a robust, state-of-the-art E2E, cybersecure, highly flexible solution at OSI layers 1-3. This technology ensures the transportation of virtually any uncompressed data, such as video, radar and lidar, with deterministic latency within the vehicle.
The goal is to achieve a 30% reduction in system cost, power and resource requirements to meet the growing demands of the automotive environment. The data is made fully available within the vehicle network, extending beyond traditional point-to-point connections, which helps reduce the weaknesses found in other bus systems.
