Indian R&D service provider L&T Technology Services has signed a deal worth €50m (US$54m) with an unnamed prominent European automotive OEM. The two companies will work together to develop and operate software platforms tailored to current and upcoming vehicle models. As part of the tie-up, they will also establish a development hub.
The OEM’s technology stack includes a unified architecture, a proprietary operating system and an automotive cloud. According to L&T Technology Services, the manufacturer is “spearheading the development of cutting-edge vehicle features such as driver assistance systems, standardized infotainment platforms, software solutions integrating powertrains, chassis and charging infrastructure, and an expansive digital ecosystem delivering enhanced in-car digital services”.
The supplier says it secured the deal due to its expertise in SDV development, ADAS and software-defined everything.
Amit Chadha, CEO and managing director of L&T Technology Services and NASSCOM executive council member, commented, “We are thrilled to collaborate with one of the most influential automotive leaders in Europe. This deal underlines LTTS’s proven competencies in software-defined mobility and reflects our commitment to enabling transformation in the global automotive landscape. Our expertise in EV technologies, SDVs and ADAS, complemented by our robust digital engineering capabilities, positions us to create powerful impact for our customers, making future-ready mobility a reality.”

Its EV lab in Bangalore, India, is a hub for developing and testing cutting-edge electric vehicle technologies. Recently, the company launched LTTSiDrive, a framework for implementing SDVs across cars, trucks and off-highway vehicles.
