Grupo Antolin has released two new concepts for shared-use vehicle interiors, covering both ride-hailing and ridesharing application.
The former sees the vehicle interior transform into a living space where people can work, relax or communicate while on the move, with the interior atmosphere kept fresh through the use of an air purification system.
“We envisage a smart interior that interacts with its occupants using all kinds of state-of-the-art technologies: dynamic lighting, displays equipped with cameras and sensors, virtual reality and smart touch surfaces. The new interior is a living area in which people can work, relax and connect while moving around,” explained Javier Villacampa, corporate innovation director at the company.
With its virtual ridesharing concept, called ELIN, the company states it is offering an innovative solution for mobility applications that are likely to be electric and autonomous, with a need for a sanitary interior that will be shared by many users. It says the concept is designed to be integrated into the ecosystems of urban areas, and the interior can be customized through the use of acoustic panels with decorative inserts, constructed from sustainable materials.
