Vehicle interiors manufacturer Grupo Antolin and Ennomotive have launched the second wave of challenges in the Antolin i.JUMP open innovation program. Through this program, Grupo Antolin aims to develop innovative solutions to lead the transformation of the automotive industry, following the trends of the electric and connected vehicle and the digitization of the processes.
To accomplish this, three new technological challenges have been launched.
The first revolves around finding cooling solutions that improve the thermal comfort of the passengers inside the vehicle. Proposals should fully or partially replace the traditional HVAC systems while reducing the energy consumption, if possible.
The second challenge is related to product traceability. The goal is to find reliable and low-cost sensor and data-collecting solutions to monitor the status of a product at any given stage of a high-pressure and high-temperature manufacturing process.
Finally, the third challenge focuses on a complete car interior lighting system with all possible functions, including design and control/operating technology, that meets the needs of the new types of mobility.
The competitions have been published online and are open to engineering professionals, startups, companies, universities and tech centers from all over the world that want to submit solutions.
Each challenge comes with a cash prize of €10,000 (US$11,000) and the opportunity to collaborate with Grupo Antolin in future projects. Those interested in participating must register on www.ennomotive.com and send their solution before December 16.
Grupo Antolin just awarded prizes for innovative solutions to the three technological challenges launched in May. In total, Grupo Antolin received 73 solutions proposed by engineers, startups, universities and technical centers from 29 countries. The company gave five awards: two first prizes and three secondary awards.
