Designed to celebrate the 1969 Mini Clubman, the latest Mini Cooper S Clubman Final Edition will be limited to just 1,969 units. BMW has revealed details of the vehicle, which will feature a modern version of the shooting-brake concept alongside a host of design elements that hark back to the original model.
Opening the doors, occupants are met with several special edition features, such as the “Final Edition” door sill lettering, a detail which carries over to the lower spoke of the sports steering wheel which is upholstered in Nappa leather.
The standard Connected Media equipment within the Final Edition consists of an 8.8in touchscreen display, the Mini Online digital service, Remote Services and smartphone integration for Apple CarPlay and other apps. The system is Mini’s latest generation, providing occupants with efficient and intuitive controls for an array of vehicle functions.
For comfort, the OEM has optioned the model with Mini Yours leather sports seats which feature adjustable thigh support and sewn-in edition badges in a Dark Maroon stitch. This is complemented by an anthracite-colored Piquet fabric insert and blue stitching.
The model’s dark dashboard trim is framed by trim strips in a Sage Green Dark color and the edition-specific Shimmer Copper color. Furthermore, a 1 of 1969 badge features on the passenger side, denoting the model’s exclusivity. The same badge is also found on the car’s floormats.
