Diodes Incorporated, a manufacturer and supplier of semiconductor products, has released a new automotive-compliant 10Gbps 6:4 active crossbar multiplexer (mux) with a linear ReDriver.
The PI3DPX1225Q is designed to enhance connectivity in smart cockpits and rear-seat entertainment systems by switching USB 3.2 and DisplayPort 2.1 signals through a USB Type-C connector, ensuring low-latency and high signal integrity.
The PI3DPX1225Q supports three operating modes: connecting a single lane of USB 3.2 Gen 2 to the USB Type-C connector; connecting one lane of USB 3.2 Gen 2 and two channels of DP 2.1 UHBR10; or connecting four channels of DP 2.1 UHBR10. Additionally, it includes an AUX listener, which swaps AUX channels in accordance with the USB Type-C standard when a cable is flipped.
The device is also designed to permit the adjustment of differential signals in USB 3.2 Gen 2 and DP 2.1 UHBR10 modes using continuous time linear equalization (CTLE). The output compression swing (-1dB) and flat-gain values are controlled via an I2C setting. The 10Gbps signal performance is optimized by minimizing intersymbol interference (ISI) jitter across various physical mediums. The linear equalization feature also supports transparent link training (LT) for DP 2.1 without relying on the DP-AUX channels listener.
The PI3DPX1225Q is available in a 40-Pin W-QFN6040-40 package with a 4mm x 6mm.
