Kia has demonstrated its entry SUV, the Seltos, in Texas Hill Country to show that it can take on the town in the week, and the wilderness on the weekend.
Unveiling the small SUV, Kia said the interior is crafted with “meticulous attention to detail”, helping the Seltos “punch above its weight class”.
The Korean manufacturer also says the instrument panel has an asymmetrical design that skews toward the driver, the cabin is spacious and versatile, and cargo space can be expanded by lowering the adjustable luggage board.
The Kia Seltos comes with a 3.5in OLED gauge cluster on LX, S and EX models, and a 7in version for SX trim levels.
The S, EX and SX models come with a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, and a sliding front console cover.
Six color themes echo the sound-connected mood lighting, which changes color and intensity based on the volume level on SX models.
The EX and SXs have a rear air vent and USB charging port for backseat passengers.
Technology in the Seltos includes the Kia Drive Wise suite of advanced driver assistance systems, with warnings covering blind spots, collision avoidance and lane departure among others.
Highlights include a 10.25in high-resolution color touchscreen, an eight-speaker Bose premium sound system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging, three USB charging ports, and multi-Bluetooth wireless connectivity being available.
The Seltos is equipped with the UVO Link telematics system debuting a number of features.
UVO includes Connected User Profiles, giving customers access to favorite radio stations and a suite of remote commands at a push of a button with the Kia Owner’s app.
