Italian OEM Lamborghini has unveiled the futuristic and functional interior design of its latest model, the V12 Revuelto HPEV. For a new immersive and shared driving experience, the manufacturer has installed both a 12.3in digital cockpit on the driver’s side and a 9.1in display on the passenger side, which can display the same information simultaneously. An 8.4in central display also features, and by using a swipe function, the driver or passenger can move applications and information from the central display to the side displays.
This new human machine interface (HMI) benefits from a fresh look, with 3D graphics, animations, widgets and styling. The three displays are managed by a single computer to ensure the user interface is consistent in terms of colors and graphics, in addition to providing coherent interaction across all three displays.
During the vehicle’s design stage, Lamborghini’s engineers focused on ensuring the model’s cabin was both spacious for everyday driving but also practical and well-equipped for track day use. The new roof design now provides 26mm more headroom than the Aventador Ultimae, and a new monofuselage provides 84mm more legroom.
To improve its environmental credentials, a selection of sustainable upholstery materials are used within the Revuelto’s cabin, such as a new ultralight Corsa-Tex fabric in Dinamica microfiber – made of recycled polyester via a water-based production process. The vehicle can be optioned with a balance of both leather or Corsa-Tex depending on preference, with a total of 70 color options available. Enhancing the interior space is exposed carbon fiber which has been used to frame the dashboard and also for the hexagonal air vents.
Drawing inspiration from a Lamborghini Squadra Corse race car, the steering wheel features four rotors on its spokes for selecting driving modes and the car’s lifting system and rear wing tilt.
For the latest model, Lamborghini has completely redesigned and developed the navigation system, with maps downloaded in real time to ensure they are up to date. Route calculation and the search mechanism are now much faster due to the use of online servers and the new navigation system incorporates real-time traffic information, weather, and other integrated information.
A range of vehicle functions can be controlled using Amazon Alexa, including climate, navigation and media. Alexa for Lamborghini Revuelto also benefits from integrated What3Words functionality which, when used in combination with the vehicle’s embedded navigation system, enables users to find any desired location without a specific address.
The Lamborghini Revuelto connected infotainment system can be updated using OTA updates to deliver additional content.
