Several upgrades have been introduced by Mercedes-Benz to its newest GLS model, including AMG seats and an instrument panel, which are now upholstered in nappa leather and can be selected in either bahia brown/black, or macchiato beige/black colors. A glossy brown lime wood trim and a Manufaktur glossy black piano lacquer trim are available.
The German OEM has also installed the newest version of the AMG Performance steering wheel, enabling the driver to access a wide range of functions and drive programs without needing to take their hands off the wheel. The steering wheel can also be selected in a heated version, or in a carbon-fiber look.
Compared to its predecessor, the GLS now comes with even more equipment as standard, such as an electric panoramic sliding sunroof, heated and climatized front seats and smartphone integration. Additional features include a Burmester sound system, the 360° Parking Pilot and a Keyless-Go package.
The latest Mercedes-AMG GLS also benefits from the new generation of Mercedes’s MBUX, with additional, AMG-specific designs and functions.
Extra equipment and features found within the latest GLS include the MBUX Augmented Reality function, the AMG Driver’s package, multi-contour front seats and a head-up display. The MBUX Interior Assistant and temperature-controlled cup holders are also provided as standard.
