Renault has modernized the interior of the Megane with new screens and instrument clusters, and an updated multimedia system. The new model, which goes on sale from July this year, features a 10in digital instrument cluster including satnav.
A 9.3in screen fits to the dashboard, with the Renault Easy Link connected multimedia system offering a range of multimedia, navigation and infotainment services as well as Multi-Sense settings.
Easy Link is available in three versions, 7in; 7in with integrated satnav; and 9.3in, with integrated satnav, all of which are compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The multimedia system uses smartphone integration and modular widgets allow users to customize their screen and give them direct access to their favorite features and apps.
The My Renault smartphone app and Renault Easy Link systems are part of the Megane’s Easy Connect service, which includes a whole set of connected apps, platforms and mobility services.
Connected mobility includes remote interaction with the vehicle such as location, door-to-door navigation, remote locking and unlocking, and remote activation of lights and the horn.
Center console controls have also been upgraded, and all driver-assistance controls can be activated from the steering wheel.
Certain versions also feature a rimless electrochromic inside the rearview mirror.
