A range of over-the-air (OTA) software and data management solutions will be deployed by Sibros on Marelli’s next-generation Cockpit Domain Controller (CDC) Unit.
The MInD-Xp from Marelli delivers a single platform and domain control unit (DCU) capable of running several guest operating systems and in-cabin functions. These include infotainment, clusters, driver assistance systems and head-up displays to improve in-vehicle experiences for both drivers and passengers in a coherent human-machine interface (HMI). The system is underpinned by Blackberry QNX Hypervisor with cloud-connectivity to AWS.
Sibros will deploy its Deep Logger and Deep Updater products on the Marelli cockpit to enable live vehicle data logging, software configuration management and OTA updates for in-cabin features. Furthermore, additional OTA updates will also be available for other downstream ECUs and controllers using MInD-Xp.
The Deep Logger gives OEMs privacy-compliant connected data insights on product usage and performance to ensure that continuous improvements can be made. These can then be implemented using the company’s Deep Updater which is capable of managing software configuration builds and dispatching OTA updates at a deep, safe and secure scale.
The companies seek to unlock a range of new benefits for customers, enhanced with Sibros’s embedded firmware and SaaS products.
“Marelli has raised the bar to a new high with its next-generation digital cockpit that runs multiple in-cabin functions from a single powerful platform,” said Hemant Sikaria, CEO and co-founder, Sibros. “By combining Sibros’s technology with Marelli, we’re thrilled to provide OEMs a better way to improve product quality by making meaningful data and software updates work together from a future-ready digital cockpit solution.”
“Marelli combines innovative in-house technologies with strong partner solutions to deliver scalable and modular solutions that exceed the demands of modern software-defined vehicle architectures and experiences,” commented Ravi Tallapragada, president, electronic systems, Marelli. “We look forward to helping our OEM customers gain more value from our next generation cockpit platform with the unique approach Sibros offers for advanced connected vehicle software and data management.”
