Skoda Connect can now be used via Google Home, providing data and information about the vehicle to be queried in English.
The first version of Google Home Skoda Connect Action will make it possible to access information and control the vehicle remotely in English, with other languages to follow.
The voice assistant can say the vehicle and engine type as well as current status and submit a vehicle status report.
Google Home can inform users of the oil level and the next dates for an oil change and inspection, as well as fuel level and driving range.
Driving data such as distance traveled, average fuel consumption, speed and mileage can be accessed, as well as the last parking location.
Voice assistance can also advise whether windows and doors are closed, the lights are off and whether the car is locked.
Skoda has also expanded the functions of Skoda Connect Alexa Skill, which can now communicate in Spanish and Italian, as well as English, French and German.
In the all-electric Skoda Citigo iV and the Superb iV with plug-in hybrid drive, voice assistants can say the current status of the lithium-ion battery as well as the charge level and the corresponding electrical range. Charging can also be started or stopped remotely.
Furthermore, the air conditioning or heating can be controlled via voice command before a journey.
