German automotive component and operating system company Grammer has developed a new center console for the latest HiPhi X model from Chinese auto maker Human Horizons. The new console for the rear passengers features luxurious and practical elements integrated into its design.
“As one of the Chinese showcase projects for the European market, the HiPhi X is on a par with current high-end models from established premium manufacturers when it comes to superior quality standards,” said Jürgen Gerl, president, automotive division, Grammer AG. “Its interior is equipped to a correspondingly high standard, scoring points with numerous displays, storage areas, light panels and fine materials.”
Grammer has been supplying many international auto makers with interior components and this latest one for the HiPhi X aims to provide a feeling of luxury and comfort for passengers. The center console includes a tablet display holder, smartphone trays, cup-holders and two fold-out tables hidden beneath a butterfly armrest.
The armrest surface is trimmed in aniline leather to add that feeling of luxury and magnetic inserts in the table surfaces keep glasses perfectly in place while the car is moving.
Grammer says the console was developed in just nine months with a focus on extravagance and high-end quality. It is produced at its facility in Shanghai, less than four hours’ drive away from the Human Horizons plant in Yancheng.
