The new Ranger Platinum from Ford is available in a five-seat, double cab configuration and benefits from a modernistic leather-trimmed cabin.
Disguised from view by privacy glass, the inside of the Ford Ranger features perforated and quilted front driver and passenger seats with 10-way power adjustment. The front seats also have built-in heating and cooling functions. The contrast stitching and quilted seating design extends to the rear seats. Furthermore, open-grained maple wood textures feature, in addition to ambient interior lighting.
The main focal point of the interior, however, is the dual 12in screens. Instead of traditional gauges, a full digital cluster has been installed to deliver crucial information to the driver, in addition to a portrait touchscreen which enables interior occupants to control the OEM’s SYNC 4A infotainment system.
The Ranger Platinum also benefits from an eight-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system and wireless charging. Connectivity is provided by a standard FordPass Connect modem which ensures modules can be updated via Ford Power-Up over-the-air updates.
Advanced driver assistance systems also feature on the Platinum model Ranger as standard and consist of Active Park Assist with Park Out Assist, Blind Spot Information System with Cross-Traffic Alert and Trailer Coverage, Lane Change Warning & Aid, and a 360° camera.
“The Ford Ranger has set the standard for performance, versatility and capability in the pickup segment, and now it’s setting the standard for luxury,” said Hans Schep, general manager, Ford Pro Europe. “The stunning new Platinum will suit customers who appreciate the level of comfort and technology from high-end road cars.”
Production of the new Ford model is planned to start in March 2023, with the first vehicles delivered to customers in late spring 2023.
