The latest Toyota Mirai FCEV benefits from an 8in driver’s display as standard and a 12in multimedia display, which delivers all of the necessary media, climate and navigation content and controls to passenger and driver on a simple left and right toggle and shows images from the vehicle’s Panoramic View Monitor which comes as standard on the Limited trim level. This technology ensures occupants have a 360° view in both drive and when reversing.
The 8in driver’s gauge cluster also features a 4.2in multi-information display that includes an ECO drive indicator to help the driver maximize fuel efficiency by providing acceleration guidance and scores for economic driving. The hydrogen fuel levels and the vehicle’s remaining range are also shown here.
For seating, the Mirai XLE features SoftTex-trimmed and heated, power-adjustable front seats consisting of eight-way adjustment for the driver, and four-way for the passenger. The Limited vehicle increases its offering and delivers perforated SoftTex-trimmed heated and ventilated front and rear seats, including an eight-way power front passenger seat. The Limited interior is available in a two-tone color scheme of white and brown or black.
The Mirai’s headliner integrates an infrared reflective layer on the roof-facing surface to block that part of the light spectrum, helping reduce heat build-up inside the cabin, in addition to reducing electrical load on the air conditioning system. A layer of Thinsulate has also been installed within the headliner to block heat and to provide additional sound damping.
Rear passengers in the Limited model have the use of digital touch switches on the rear of the center console to operate both audio and climate controls and the optional panorama roof’s power sunshade.
For 2023, the OEM has also equipped the Mirai with the Toyota Audio Multimedia system designed and engineered by the company’s Connected Technologies team in Texas. Through the system, occupants will be able to access a range of enhanced connectivity and convenience features, with the car being kept up to date via over-the-air (OTA) updates.
The new Toyota Audio Multimedia system also features Cloud Navigation, an onboard navigation solution that uses the cloud to download the latest available map, traffic and routing information. Additionally, the multimedia system enables dual Bluetooth phone connectivity which supports standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
