Ford has announced that Stingray Karaoke will be available in select models, starting with the F-150 Lightning and followed by the Mustang Mach-E. This feature will soon be offered in the Ford and Lincoln Digital Experience as well.
Ford owners can enjoy karaoke through the Stingray Karaoke app. The app will offer a wide selection of songs and music styles from rock, country, pop, R&B, Latin, K&J pop and family-friendly tunes. Songs are available in 38 languages, including 10 languages in local characters such as Thai, Hebrew, Russian and Greek, and a multilingual interface with 36 languages.
The app works when parked and while driving. While parked, the lyrics of the song will be shown on the infotainment system. Ford engineers in collaboration with Stingray also developed a unique drivetime experience for friends and family sitting in the passenger seat.
On launch, the app will detect if a passenger is buckled in and sitting in the front seat and a QR code will appear on the screen. The passenger can scan the QR code, which leads to a webpage to control the karaoke experience from their smartphone without having to login to an app. Passengers can then add songs to their playlist, change songs, view scrolling lyrics and use the vehicle’s audio system.
The Stingray app will roll out via a Ford software update first to F-150 Lightning owners and then to Mustang Mach-E owners in the USA, Canada, Mexico and Europe. This will be a staggered rollout by model year starting with 2024 F-150 Lightning.
The Stingray app will also be available to download at a later date in vehicles with the Ford and Lincoln Digital Experience including the 2025 Ford Explorer, 2025 Lincoln Navigator, 2025 Lincoln Aviator and 2025 Lincoln Nautilus.
