The fifth-generation Santa Fe from Hyundai benefits from a “terrace-like living space” made possible by the mid-size SUV’s larger tailgate opening and longer wheelbase.
The redesigned interior space features a range of convenience features, including a UV-C Sterilization Tray and dual wireless charging system for smartphones. A panoramic curved display encompasses the 12.3in digital cluster and infotainment system, resulting in improved driver visibility.
With the revised and longer wheelbase, the Santa Fe offers fully foldable second-and third-row seats to deliver a “terrace-like” space at the rear with the tailgate open. The design feature also reflects the OEM’s use of big data “to identify customers’ interest in the latest outdoor lifestyle trends, such as car camping and gear-intensive adventures”.
The design has also used horizontal and vertical design elements to enhance the vehicle’s “sense of openness”, with an H-shaped design brought to components such as the dashboard and air vents. Eco-friendly materials have been used to upholster a range of surfaces, such as the headliner, BCF car mats and seatbacks and coverings, including the crash pad, door trim and seats.
Five interior colors are available – Obsidian Black, Supersonic Gray, Pecan Brown, Forest Green and Black Ink.
