Antolin has signed a strategic development agreement with UltraSense Systems to create a range of SmartSurface touch systems for automotive applications.
The SmartSurface HMI touch systems can be incorporated into center console infotainment systems, HVAC controls, in-door seating controls, overhead systems and exterior applications like smart emblem access for front and rear trunks. The company’s also aim to deliver comprehensive solutions to automotive OEMs.
The companies say that these next-generation touch systems will seamlessly integrate into automotive interiors and exteriors while improving user-focused features.

Through this agreement, Antolin will leverage UltraSense’s HMI design expertise in integrating multimode touch sensing, backlighting and haptics solutions across automotive applications. The companies aspire to offer a premium experience with hidden solid-surface buttons that become visible only when required.
