Grupo Antolin has premiered its smart cockpit demonstrator at the Shanghai Auto Show, which showcases a variety of technologies related to lighting and HMI, active surfaces and electronics. The company says that most of the solutions featured are market ready. The demonstrator uses dynamic lighting to create different driving scenarios and includes backlit surfaces in unique materials, a display deco module, sewn light guides, natural active surfaces, light projections and a driver monitoring system.
The company notes that partners including Walter Pack, AED Technologies, Cipia (formerly Eyesight Technologies) and NAEN contributed to the demonstrator.
Grupo Antolin also showed off a lighting solution that replaces the conventional overhead reading lamp concept with a lighting system fully integrated in the headliner substrate itself. Additionally, it showcased a new overhead console with smart-bar technology integrating functions such as capacitive sensors, decorative and functional backlit sunroof controls, haptic and acoustic feedback, as well as traditional lighting solutions.
Surface illumination solutions for soft-trimmed parts, applicable to door panels, instrument panels, pillars and center consoles, were also on show.
