Popular streaming service Paramount+ will now be offered in BMW and Mini models. The service will be available to owners of current vehicles with BMW or MINI Operating System 9.
Subscribers can access a wide choice of blockbusters, new originals, and hit shows such as ‘Star Trek Discovery’. For safety reasons, the service can only be used when the vehicle is stationary; this enables occupants to pass time during charging stops or breaks on longer journeys. The content automatically switches off when the car starts moving.
Paramount+ service is available in conjunction with BMW Digital Premium or the Mini Connected Package in Austria, France, Germany, Italy, the UK, the USA and Switzerland.
The streaming service contains an extensive and diverse library of entertainment along with live sports and breaking news. Passengers can access the streaming through the video app (DTS AutoStage video service by TiVo) in the latest infotainment systems from BMW and Mini.
Other streaming services available internationally in the video app are Pluto TV, Bloomberg, TED, Yahoo! and Chili. These are also accompanied by individual market-specific streaming services.
