Select Volkswagen models will now be able to offer the in-car gaming platform AirConsole. The ID.3, ID.4, ID.5, ID.7 and ID.7 Tourer will be the first models to benefit from this integration, starting with IDS 5.0 and 5.2. The service will then be rolled out to the new Golf, Golf Estate, Tiguan and Passat later this year.
AirConsole has also added Trivia Crack to its game catalog. Created by Etermax, Trivia Crack is globally acclaimed interactive knowledge hub that has challenged millions of players in 180+ countries since its launch in 2013, across various platforms. Now, Trivia Crack is available for in-car play, specially adapted by Play.Works, using AirConsole’s dual-screen technology.
The game comprises three modes: Classic Mode, Challenge Mode and Party Mode for up to five players. Available in six languages, Trivia Crack on AirConsole promises an engaging experience for all passengers. To start the game, owners must park the car, start the AirConsole app and let the game begin. With smartphones as controllers and the vehicle’s infotainment system as the display, the experience is designed to be intuitive and engaging. This setup also supports multiple players, making it easy for both front and rear passengers to take part.
Michael Fuller, VP of games at AirConsole, said, “We are committed to carefully selecting and adapting games to ensure they fit seamlessly into the automotive environment, providing a high-quality experience for all passengers.”
AirConsole service for Volkswagen vehicles will initially launch in European markets such as Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Ireland, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, and the UK, with plans to expand to additional countries.
This announcement comes after Volkswagen launched ChatGPT services for models sold in the USA.
