Automobili Pininfarina has revealed that it will create just five examples of the Battista Edizione Nino Farina, a limited-edition version of the company’s electric hyper GT. Each of the cars will pay homage to one of five milestones achieved by Nino Farina during his racing career, with an array of bespoke details adorning the vehicle’s interior and exterior surfaces.
For the interior, Pininfarina chose a two-tone theme consisting of a driver’s seat upholstered in a black sustainable leather and a passenger seat in a contrasting beige and black Alcantara.
Additional details added to the Pilota seats include a quilted pattern and ‘Nino Farina’ on the backrest of each. For the driver’s seat, an embroidered laurel wreath and ’01’ graphic has been stitched in gold on the headrest, while the passenger seat featuring the Pininfarina logo is finished in red. The backs of both seats are painted in Rosso Nino to match the Nino Farina’s exterior color.
To stay in keeping with the exterior theme, Iconica Blu seatbelts have been chosen with a bespoke duotone contrast stitch in beige and red on the center tunnel, dashboard and seats.
For the steering wheel, Automobili Pininfarina used black Alcantara with exposed carbon and a contrasting 12 o’clock ring in brushed aluminum anodized in red. This detailing extends to the brushed aluminum and anodized black steering wheel plate.
“The Battista Edizione Nino Farina represents the vision of our talented design team, paying an evocative tribute to an undisputed legend of the Pininfarina family and its heritage,” said Paolo Dellachà, chief executive officer for Automobili Pininfarina. “An untold story about the spirit and the courage of a man driven by a racing passion like no other. Our clients demand rarity, exclusivity and the quality of execution synonymous with unique and coach-built Pininfarina designs of the past.”
