Porsche has announced a range of interior changes for the latest 911 GTS, in keeping with the thoroughbred sports car’s style.
On the optional 7-speed manual transmission, the gear knob has been shortened by 10mm to enable fast and fluid gear changes, alongside a GT Sport steering wheel and a Sport Chrono package that features a mode switch, the Porsche Track Precision app and a tire temperature display as standard. The standard Sport Seats Plus option benefits from electric four-way adjustment to provide drivers and passengers with ample lateral support and comfort.
Porsche’s Race-Tex material features on a host of interior components including the seat centers, steering wheel rim, door handles, armrests, storage compartment lid and gear lever, with carbon-fiber trim panels complementing the rest of the cabin. An optional GTS interior package allows customers to choose a preferred stitching color, with either carmine red or chalk available. The 911’s seatbelts, embroidered GTS headrests, tachometer and Sport Chrono clock will come in the same contrasting colors.
A lightweight trim package can be selected, extending to the interior of the vehicle where lighter carbon-fiber full bucket seats take the place of the standard-option seats, lightweight glass has been installed in the side and rear windows, and the rear seats have been removed. To save further weight, the interior insulation has also been reduced.
