Panacol, a manufacturer of industrial adhesives, has introduced a new series of UV-curable black epoxy resin adhesives, known as ‘Black&Light’ adhesives. The series includes Vitralit BL UC 1101, Vitralit BL UC 1102 and Vitralit BL UC 1103, which can be cured using UV light.
The adhesives can be cured in thicker layers, surpassing 1mm, which allows for deeper curing depths. The series is designed to cater to applications such as component encapsulation, glob top, edge bonding in electronics production and optical adhesives requiring high optical density (OD) values.
Vitralit BL UC 1101 is suitable for applications needing thicker adhesive layers, curing reliably up to 1.3 mm with an optical density of up to 3.9. For applications requiring high OD values in thinner layers, Vitralit BL UC 1103 offers OD values of up to 6. In optoelectronic component assembly, these adhesives can minimize reflections and maintain sensitive transmission values vital for automotive sensors.
The three adhesives also feature mechanical properties, including high glass transition temperatures, low shrinkage and a low coefficient of thermal expansion. Compatibility with various Vitralit epoxy resin adhesives from Panacol also allows for customized adhesive solutions tailored to specific curing conditions and mechanical requirements.
