Chemical manufacturer Panacol is set to unveil its latest advancements in adhesive technology for e-mobility applications at this year’s CWIEME (Coil Winding, Insulation, & Electrical Manufacturing Exhibition) in Berlin from May 14 to 16.
The company will showcase a range of adhesives tailored for various automotive bonding applications, including stress relief for wires on commutators, magnet bonding in electric motors, balance compensation in fan rotors and general bonding applications in e-mobility and automotive electronics.
On display will be Panacol’s Vitralit range of UV adhesives designed to alleviate stress on wires at the commutator. The company says these make application easier and enable rapid curing using UV light.
Panacol has also developed dual-curing (UV/moisture) adhesives for bonding magnets in electric motors, which aim to enable effective bonding even in shadowed rotor pockets, with curing occurring at room temperature.
The UV adhesives can be cured using UV devices from Dr. Hönle. These devices offer intensity and wavelength options to improve bonding processes, providing a complete bonding solution from a single source.
In addition, Panacol will present its full portfolio of adhesives for various automotive bonding applications at CWIEME, including battery cell sealing, PCB component attachment, optical alignment and sensor potting.
