The second-generation BMW X2 Sports Activity Coupé features updates in interior luxury and functionality, and will begin deliveries this month, alongside the just-introduced, fully electric iX2.
Drawing inspiration from the BMW iX, the interior of the new BMW X2 showcases a modern and sophisticated design – the vehicle is “even more distinctive, sportier and forward-looking” than its predecessor, the German auto maker says.
The slender instrument panel hosts the BMW Curved Display, designed to be a visually striking centerpiece for the cabin. A “floating” armrest with integrated control panel between the front seats adds to the contemporary feel, and aluminum Hexacube light finish trim strips are standard.
The new seats have sporty aesthetics and enhanced comfort with lateral support. Available in Veganza/Alcantara or Vernasca leather with diamond quilting, the seats can be electrically adjusted for personalized comfort.
Standard features include a two-zone automatic climate control system and a navigation system, designed for a smooth user experience in all weather conditions. For added convenience, the BMW iX2 variant has the addition of an auxiliary climate control system to pre-condition the interior before setting off.
Entertainment and connectivity are also integrated into the cabin, with smartphone integration via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto included as standard. The optional Harman Kardon Sound System delivers immersive audio performance, while BMW Live Cockpit Plus provides access to cloud-based navigation and an audio system with six speakers.
The interior of the new BMW X2 has an M leather steering wheel and optional panoramic glass sunroof, as well as ambient lighting and dynamic light signals.
In terms of technology, the BMW Curved Display forms the heart of the control system, integrating a 10.25in information display and a 10.7in control display. The QuickSelect feature enables easy access to functions, while BMW Digital Premium introduces in-car gaming and streaming options, providing entertainment for passengers during breaks or while waiting, and the interior camera enables image recording and remote monitoring via the My BMW App, for an extra layer of security and convenience for owners.
