Rogier Roelen has been appointed chief sustainability officer (CSO) at Kraton Corporation, in addition to his existing role as VP of general counsel.
Kraton produces specialty polymers and high-value bio-based products derived from pine wood pulping by-products, for a wide range of purposes including adhesives, coatings, sealants, lubricants and automotive applications.
Roelen is well versed in regulatory frameworks, risk management and compliance, which are essential for sustainability initiatives. He will use his expertise in navigating legal complexities to align sustainability strategies with legal requirements, ensuring organizational compliance.
Kraton said that with more than 20 years of experience in business and industry leadership roles across various regions, Roelen is well equipped to foster collaborations with stakeholders and implement sustainable practices across diverse business functions.
